Calling Mr. Green Hill

This past weekend was supposed to be about rock climbing at a local location, good food and football. Well, like Homey the clown… “wifey don’t play that!!” LOL. Actually we couldn’t go rock climbing due to the Halloween weekend and there was so much going on.  Some organization rented out the entire rock climbing location for a party. So that pretty much cancelled that idea.  Besides, can you for one second imagine British climbing rocks??? Exactly, me neither. However, the truth is I know we’re going to do it soon. I’m looking forward to it.

Sorry, I got off track…so no rock climbing…no FUN exercise but in fact, I experienced hardcore labor in the front, back and the side of my own yard!! I was climbing the latter and trimming trees, mowed the lawn, trimmed the hedges, chopped up and dug up hug trunks of monstrous, shoveled rocks, and loaded it all on my truck to take it all to the dump!! I have to be honest with you though, although I was extremely sore and fairly exhausted, I feel a lot of pride in actually going out there and doing myself ( of course with a little help from B). She actually held her own. She was on a mission just as much as I was except somehow along the way while I was wrestling this 200 lb tree trunk in our front yard, she managed to casually wash her car in the drivway…what’s wrong with that picture?

I usually am pretty tough on her when it comes to yard work because it makes it so much easier when we can divide certain tasks.  It makes the work flow smoother. She used to always call me away from what  I was doing to  help her on every little thing but now… she really holds her own. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her in so much dirt and mud. I’m very proud of her. I should’ve video taped it! Our landscaping…looks great by the way. She did a great job positioning and planting the new hedges and other pretty flowers.
If you need some yard work done just call Mr. Green hill!
